Why does Ray Liotta….

Okay, so it’s mentioned to me now and again why does Ray get involved in short video clips to be shown at awards, like the one a few weeks ago, he’s quite happy to take supporting roles, etc.  While I can’t answer for Ray of course I’d like to share my views on the subject….

I think that Ray Liotta is a very smart man, for example by being in the video that opened the Critics Choice Movie Awards a few weeks ago, it saw him being broadcast into millions of homes throughout America, and gave him the chance to possibly reach many different generations, therefore having the potential to gain new fans along the way.  It also enabled him to have his name all over the Internet, as details of the Awards show were released, etc, and I for one know how ‘buzzing’ the Internet was, and to an extent still is over that opener video.  Same goes with supporting roles, take for example “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud”, while he was only in about 3 scenes, but oh did he make a lasting impression in those, it brought him to a younger generation that might never have seen GoodFellas, etc so that allows Ray Liotta to reach an audience that he might not otherwise be able to.  Same goes for Hannah Montana, though I did hear that Karsen, who of course is Ray’s daughter, is a fan of that show, but not 100% certain on that bit of information.

Also the NFL sketch that was created by ‘Funny or Die’, again Ray only had a supporting role in the sketch, but it reached so many people around the world, it was talked about for so many weeks, there you go again he’s reaching a worldwide audience, which can only ever be a good thing when you’re in the business that he is in.

Ray Liotta – out and about

Well Ray has certainly been a very busy man over the past few weeks.  He was spotted at the premiere of “The Grey”, also at The People’s Choice Awards (both on the same date).  He was featured in a video that opened the Critics Choice Movie Awards that same week, then he attended the SAG’s last week, or so I heard anyway and now it seems that he’s probably learning his lines as yet another movie is set to start filming soon….  I was thrilled to have been able to find some photographs from the premiere, and some video footage too, along with the video clip that opened the Critics Choice Movie Awards, so please visit http://www.rayliotta.co.uk to take a look at those and of course to watch the videos.

20 years a Ray Liotta fan and supporter

I can’t believe that this year will mark my 20th year as a Ray Liotta fan and supporter, I really can honestly say I don’t know where the years have gone, the saying is true….time flies when you’re having fun.

I’ve already mentioned this in the past on here I think, so please forgive me for repeating myself but GoodFellas was the movie that started it all for me, it turned me in to an instant massive Ray Liotta fan, and I first got to see this in 1992, I was but a teenager then…sigh, but I knew talent when I saw it, even back then.  I was stunned by the sheer talent and quality of Ray’s performance in that movie, and it made me want to find out what other movies he’d been in before that one, and when I finally was able to watch those too it just confirmed what I already knew….Ray Liotta was one very talented actor!!!!

Over the years Ray has proved himself to be a very versatile actor too, making roles his own in such movies as: Narc, The River Murders, The Line, Corrina, Corrina, Field of Dreams, Date Night, Operation Dumbo Drop, Slow Burn, The Rat Pack, Wild Hogs….and the list just keeps on going and growing, so to list all his movies to date would make for a very long post on here, but hopefully you get the picture.  If you’re curious as to just how many movies Ray has made to date please visit the Filmography Section on Ray Liotta Connection.

I look forward to continuing to enjoy watching the movies that Ray Liotta has already made and can’t wait to watch him in the new movies that he has yet to do….I’m sure the list will just keep on growing and growing.  I know for sure that Ray will continue to impress with his talented performance in movies, and that he’ll never let me down!!!!

And the winner is….Ray Liotta

Well it’s coming to that time when lists of award nominees are released, and once again sadly I’m not seeing Ray Liotta’s name mentioned.  I really wish that those people who get to choose whose name goes forward or not for these awards, would actually give Ray Liotta the long overdue credit he so richly deserves, by choosing him the winner of an Oscar (or three), a BAFTA (or three), and any other award that confirms he is the talented, versatile actor that I know him to be!!!!

Now I know that Ray has won awards in the past, including an Emmy for his performance in ER, which has been described by many as the best they’ve ever seen when they’ve watched the episode he was in, and I’ve got to say I agree with them.  It was fantastic  to see Ray get the recognition for his performance in ER, as it truly was superb acting, and I’ve said this on here before but I really did forget it was Ray I was watching, as he made the role of Charlie so very believable, surely a sign of a great, very talented actor in my opinion!!!!  Ray has also won a few other awards over the years and to see what awards Ray has won please visit Ray Liotta Connection.

So come on, let’s see Ray Liotta receiving the recognition for being one of the most talented actors of our time, he really does deserve to be surround by awards!!!!

As I type this Ray Liotta is all set to start filming his latest movie project “The Iceman”.  I’ve already mentioned this but Ray really has had the busiest of years once again, which is great to see him in such demand, and the demand just keeps on growing. RAY LIOTTA – A SERIOUSLY BUSY MAN….

This year has been a seriously busy one for Ray Liotta, often filming back to back new movies that are set to be released either next year or the year after, along with several new movies being released in cinemas/DVD.  During all the new movies that Ray has been able to complete this year, he’s even been able to record guest star appearances in popular TV series such as ‘Hannah Montana’ and ‘The League’, proving to be the versatile and talented actor that he truly is.  Add to that mix the Film Festivals he has attended, Award Ceremonies, the numerous interviews that he has conducted for television, magazines, radio, etc and much more – where does he get his energy from!!!!

2012 looks set to be yet another seriously busy year for Ray Liotta, with not one but four new movies already lined up, one of which is set to start filming in January…. RAY LIOTTA ON ‘THE LEAGUE’

Last week saw Ray Liotta guest star in the American hit television comedy series ‘The League’.  Sadly as I don’t live in America I’ve not been able to watch it yet, but I live in hope, as I have been able to watch a short clip from it, and you can too by going to Ray Liotta Connection

Feedback from Ray Liotta’s appearance has been positive comments all the way, one viewer even stating he made that episode his own.

Appearing in a television series is nothing new to Ray Liotta, as he started his career in the popular ‘Another World’ in which he played “the nicest guy on television” - Joey Perrini, a number of years ago, and was featured in another American hit comedy series ‘Just Shoot Me’ in the 2000′s, were he played an ‘over the top’ version of himself, and he was just SOOOOO funny in that.  He also was a guest star in the popular TV series ‘Hannah Montana’ too this year, and has made many more appearances on the small screen too.

It’s great to see Ray Liotta in such demand, and fantastic to see proof that Ray is not only able to command the big screen but also the small screen too, just proves what I’ve been saying for so many years….

….Ray Liotta is a very talented and versatile actor, which enables him to excel in whatever role he is asked to play, in whatever genre, in whatever format be it television series or movie!!!!

 

Ray Liotta at Savannah Film Festival

Ray Liotta is attending the Savannah Film Festival this weekend/week, and is there as I type this.

He conducted his own Master Class today, and gave great advice and told fantastic stories to the students there.  He also toured the SCAD Museum of Art, before conducting his Master Class there.

Tonight will see a Ray Liotta tribute, before the movie “The Son of No One” is shown in a special screening.  This screening is SOLD OUT, which is fabulous to hear, well done to Ray Liotta and everyone involved with this movie.

Ray Liotta is also set to receive the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’, and very well deserved this is too.  A MASSIVE well done and congratulations to Ray Liotta!!!!
